Evangelo founded Canadian production company CHRONICLE PICTURES before relocating to London and forming MIRROR PRODUCTIONS with Simon Baxter. Evangelo recently produced CRASH BURN LOVE, the debut film from acclaimed commercials writer/director Rob Sanders followed by Tom Paton’s cult hit PANDORICA. Evangelo is currently in post-production on VITA & VIRGINIA, directed by Chanya Button and inspired by Dame Eileen Atkins acclaimed stage play chronicling the love affair between Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville West, starring Gemma Arterton, Elizabeth Debicki and Isabella Rossellini. The film is repped internationally by Protagonist Pictures and slated for release in winter 2018.
Simon has worked in many aspects of the film and entertainment industry including International Sales and Marketing Director for Technicolor, The Completion Bond Company and Fujifilm. When Evangelo Kioussis relocated to London from Canada, together they formed MIRROR PRODUCTIONS. Mika Kioussis is a Digital Producer and Writer who consults on the slate of projects in development at Mirror. She is currently penning two features: the black comedy How to Avoid Killing Your Succulents, and western thriller Pearl Handled .22.
The films that Mika has developed creatively and/or contributed financing to have been screened at international film festivals including TIFF (Vita & Virginia, 2018); Channel 4, Tate Media, the British Library and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).
Mika’s performance textual works have been broadcast on CBC TV and CBC Radio, and her writings published in book form, magazines and academic journals such the Times Education Supplement (TES) and Medical Humanities Journal.
Mika holds a Masters of Research from the London Consortium; a MA in Literature and Medicine from King’s College London, and a B.F.A in Film and Video from NSCAD University, Canada.
Nell has worked in film production since 2006 for companies including BBC Films, Sixteen Films and The Weinstein Company. She has worked on a range of projects such as the BBC adaptation of WAR AND PEACE; Oscar-winning writer/director John Ridley’s Hendrix bio, JIMI: ALL IS BY MY SIDE; and Stephen Poliakoff’s GLORIOUS 39.
Nell acted as a co-producer on VITA AND VIRGINIA, and before that she worked as a producer on Netflix show MEDICI: MASTERS OF FLORENCE, a British-Italian production. Other recent work includes line producing the UK shoot on Lynne Ramsay’s latest film YOU WERE NEVER REALLY HERE starring Joaquin Phoenix; acting as production supervisor in prep on Benedict Cumberbatch film THE CURRENT WAR; and producing the Film4/Warp Films short, UNSEEN, starring Maxine Peake and directed by Katie Mitchell.
Nell is currently a producer on upcoming feature film ADVENTURES OF A MATHEMATICIAN
